Sisters Working Together
For A Good Cause

Sandy

Hello!~~ My name is Charleen and I live in Pennsylvania and work for the PA Department of Corrections since April, 1972.I am divorced and have two children Mark Allen who is 22 and Ashley Nicole who is 15. I first started talking online October 2, 1996 on AOL. I have made so many wonderful friends from all over the world. I can not tell you how wonderful and exciting it is to talk to so many different people from all walks of life. I have learned so much from others and then I try to pass my knowledge onto others so they can learn. Knowledge is a wonderful thing … you can never know too much. I will admit I am addicted to the computer now!! Good thing I have a full-time job or I would be on this computer day and night instead of just at night.

Let me tell you a little about what my sister Sandy and I do because of our love for horses. We have access to ex-racehorses and when they don't need them anymore we find good homes for young and old standardbred and thoroughbred horses. Since my sister and I have been doing this for a couple of years we have placed all of the horses in good homes. We do not charge people for these as long as we do not have to put any money into the horse. If we take the horse home with us then we have to pay extra for having the horses at our barns. Both Sandy and I rent our barns and every extra horse that we bring to the barn we have to pay for and feed. We are talking about renting another barn just for extra horses that we get until we can find a home for them. Our intent is to give ex-racehorses a second chance at a productive life in a new home. Only horses with a good chance of placement and good temperament are accepted by us. If you are interested in giving an ex-racehorse a good home, you live close enough to be to pick-up the horse, you can send me an e-mail at charmac53@yahoo.com.

Some of these horses have not been ridden in many years so don’t expect them to be ready to ride when you get them. Some of the trotters have never had a saddle on them just the cart so it will be like starting from the beginning with some of the horses. You will be able to ride them after you work with them a little. There isn’t a horse that we have had that the new owner hasn’t been able to ride them with a little bit of work. These horses will make good trail riding horses for people if you just take the time and work with them.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my homepage and don't forget to sign my guestbook.

I am in the process of redoing all of my pages so that they will be easy to go thru so if you find any links that are broken I am in the process of fixing them.... hopefully.... hope to talk to you real soon.

Updated - Since my sister no longer works for the vet now we stopped giving horses away since we don't have access to them anymore. We still have our own that we saved.
