But he does not throw it into its nest.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses more;
He who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
The tongue weighs practically nothing,
But so few people can hold it.
A friend is someone we turn to,
When our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure,
For our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives,
With beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the world we live in,
A better and happier place.
Friendship is a strange thing....
Once the package of friendship has been opened,
We may have our disagreements...
Friends, you and me....
we find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives...
things we don't even share with our families who raised us...
But what is a friend?
A confidant?
A lover?
A fellow e-mail junkie?
A shoulder to cry on?
An ear to listen?
A heart to feel?...
A friend is all these things...and more.
No matter where we met,....
I call you friend.
A word so small...yet so large in feeling...
A word filled with emotion.
It is true great things come in small packages.
It can never be closed...
It is a constant book always written...
Waiting to be read...and enjoyed
We may argue...
We may concern one another...
Friendship is a unique bond that lasts through it all....
A part of me is put into my friends...
Some it is my humor...
Some it is my listening ear...
Some it is real life experiences...
Some it is my romanticism...
But with all, it is friendship.
Friendships forged are a construct stronger than steel
Built as a foundation....
Necessary for life...
And necessary for love. :-)

Yells at you when you won't listen and,
Zaps you back to reality,
May we always be "good buddies",
May we always be "good friends",
And may our friendship be the kind,
That will never end.
B e there when they need you, or you may wind up alone.
C heer them on, we all need encouragement now and then.
D on't look for their faults, even if you have none.
E ncourage their dreams, what would we be without them?
F orgive them, you just MAY do something wrong sometime.
G et together often, misery loves company, so does glee.
H ave faith in them, the human animal is remarkable.
I nclude them, you may need to be included sometime.
J ust be there when they need you.
K now when they need a hug, and couldn't you use one?
L ove them unconditionally, that is the ONLY condition.
M ake them feel special, because aren't we ALL special?
N ever forget them, who wants to feel forgotten?
O ffer to help, and know when "No thanks" is just politeness.
P raise them honestly and openly.
Q uietly disagree, noisy NO's make enemies.
R eally listen, a friendly ear is a soothing balm.
S ay you're sorry, don't let them assume it.
T alk frequently, communication is important.
U se good judgment.
V erbalize your feelings!
W ish them luck, hopefully good!
X amine your motives before you "help" out.
Y our words count, use them wisely.
Z ip your lips when told a secret.
By following these ABC's as often as you are able, you SHOULD live a LONG and friend-filled life.
With which I'm blessed,
My problems have been few,
But of all, this one's the best
To have a friend like you.
In times of trouble
Friends will say,
"Just ask, I'll help you through it."
But you don't wait for me to ask,
You just get up and do it!
And I can think
of nothing more
That I could wisely do,
Than know a friend,
And be a friend,
And have a friend like you.
Made and lost without even once meeting.
How many friends from online have I lost?
I haven't kept count nor figured the cost.
Some depart, spouting bluster and rage,
Others as quietly as the turn of a page.
Many return though I couldn't say when,
While the rest are never heard from again.
For the loss of some, the fault is my own,
An unkind word spoken and I'm left alone.
Some friends turn away for no reason at all.
I'm puzzled and hurt when they shun my call.
Scores of friends are forever lost to me
Since the systems we called ceased to be.
And more than once, I've had friends die.
I can't forget them; I don't even try.
So take a moment during your time online
And be aware, though there's no outward sign.
That sound you hear, that solitary crying,
Might well be the sound of friendships dying.
My friend,
my companion,
through good times and bad
my friend,
my buddy,
through happy and sad,
beside me you stand,
beside me you walk,
you're there to listen,
you're there to talk,
with happiness,
with smiles,
with pain and tears,
I know you'll be there, throughout the years!
You are all good friends to me and I am grateful to you.
Don't take advantage of your friends and their friendship; they can be here today and gone tomorrow.
Good friends are hard to find and it's even harder to keep a good friendship from going bad. Always treat people the way
that you would like to be treated... always be a loving and caring friend. We are all human and sometimes we need to be reminded of the way we treat other people.
Just remember we all hurt and we all have feelings so the next time you want to talk about someone or make fun of someone think before you speak.
I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation to all of you that have come to my homepage. I have been so touched and moved by your letters and messages you sent me that it brings tears to my eyes. I would love to be able to talk and/or e-mail everyone and personally thank you for all your kind words, but I don't believe that I will be able to get back to each and everyone of you.
